Children’s progress through junior school is assessed by formal testing and teacher assessments. These assessments are made with reference to targets which are set nationally by the QCA. Copies of the targets which your child needs to attain to achieve a particular level are attached below. These targets/levels start with the “P” grades 1-8 and then move on to levels 1-5 with sub divisions a,b,c.(a being higher than c). Children aim to achieve level 4 by the end of year 6.
